COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A dead body has been found in a heating vent on the roof of an elementary school in Colorado Springs.
Authorities tell The Gazette that the body at French Elementary School may be that of a 17-year-old runaway (). The runaway was not identified.
The teen’s parents told police Dec. 3 that their missing son been seen on the school roof. The roof was initially too icy to check. A sheriff’s deputy searched Friday afternoon and found a body a body 10 feet to 15 feet down a roof vent.
Authorities said a positive identification will not be made until the body was removed and an autopsy completed.
