
BEMIDJI, Minn. — Bemidji State goalie Andrew Walsh made 36 saves to help Bemidji State beat Denver 2-1 on Saturday for a split of their Western Collegiate Hockey Association series.
Walsh held the Pioneers (7-6-3, 5-4-3) scoreless on six power plays. He made 18 saves in the third period.
Jordan George gave the Beavers (7-9-2, 5-7-2) an early lead and assisted on Ben Kinne’s game-winner at 4:03 of the third.
DU’s Daniel Doremus made it a one-goal game at 11:47 of the third period.
The Pioneers had 37 shots on goal, while Bemidji State put 24 shots on DU goalie Juho Olkinuora. He faced only five shots in the third period.
“Like last Saturday night at CC, we had plenty of chances to score tonight,” DU coach George Gwozdecky said. “We have to find a way to convert our scoring chances, especially when Juho continues to give us a chance to win.”

COLORADO SPRINGS — Michael Bolvin scored with three seconds left to give the Tigers the win.
The Tigers (9-5-0, 7-5-0) scored the last three goals of the game to avoid being swept by the Seawolves (6-10-2, 3-10-1), who won 6-3 on Friday.
