GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo.—Garfield County deputies have arrested a 61-year-old man who held deputies at bay for about three hours after firing shots at a deputy who came to check on him.

Craig Dance was arrested on Monday after authorities contacted him by phone and convinced him to surrender.

Authorities say charges against the man would be announced on Tuesday. No reason for the standoff was given and no injuries were reported.
