Aurora and Denver police this morning arrested a man who failed to appear at his Denver trial on allegations of assault and other charges in a home invasion robbery.
Michael Vincent O’Neal, 25, was arrested in connection with the June 2010 robbery and appeared at his trial in Denver District Court last week, said Lynn Kimbrough, spokeswoman for the Denver District Attorney’s office. When the trial continued on Tuesday, he failed to appear.
Police found him at an apartment in the 900 block of South Dearborn Way in Aurora, and O’Neal refused to surrender. Aurora SWAT responded to the scene and he surrendered after midnight.
