Explorers welcome

Today. Every Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. during the regular school year is Family Day at the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History. Explore our natural world through hands-on art and science projects. Monthly topics include “Solid Water: snow, ice and climate change,” “Small Things Considered: microbial life” and “Liquid Water: streams, rivers and lakes.” Admission is free and fun for all ages. Eat, shop and be merry

Tuesday. Young Colors, the recently opened Cherry Creek North kids boutique, hosts a Sugar Cookie-Decorating Party from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The “Young Colors chefs” recently baked dozens of sugar cookies that need to be decorated.
