After a snowy start to the week, Denver should see sunshine and seasonable temperatures through Christmas Day, the National Weather Service said Sunday.
Metro Denver had a 30 percent chance of snow before midnight and a 60 percent chance by this morning, but it should amount to only about an inch by the morning commute, forecasters said.
Denver has a 30 percent chance of snow until about 11 p.m. today, and an accompanying cold front could push temperatures as low as 12 degrees, they said.
Light snow is expected in the northern mountains after 11 p.m., with a chance of up to 2 inches at higher elevations, forecasters said.
Temperatures along the Front Range should warm to about 40 degrees Tuesday and stay there through Christmas Day, according to the Sunday outlook.
