AURORA, Colo.—Another Denver area family has been displaced by a fire.
A fire in the basement of an Aurora home on Monday caused heavy smoke damage to the rest of the building, leaving three adults and five children without a home for now. Battalion Chief Cindy Andersen they weren’t injured and firefighters were also able to save the family’s dog from inside.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
A fire on Sunday in Thornton left a family of six homeless temporarily. The Red Cross said that family is getting help from relatives and has insurance.
The Red Cross says it’s providing the Aurora family with food, clothing and medications.
