The final round of holiday shopping began Monday morning as many people went out to hunt for post-Christmas bargains.
The day after Christmas is usually the second-highest retail revenue day and Shopper-Trak is predicting traffic could rise as much as 60 percent compared to 2010.
As much as $8 billion will be spent Monday alone. Some stores opened at 5 a.m. to entice the shoppers and experts say this week could account for as much as 10 percent of all holiday sales.
This follows a month-long blitz that reeled in shoppers to the tune of a projected $469 billion, up nearly 4 percent from a year ago.
