Denver International Airport reported a slight dip in passenger traffic in October.
October 2011 brought 4,361,142 passengers through DIA, a decrease of 2.4 percent or 108,864 travelers, over the same month last year.
The year-to-date traffic through October is 44,464,093, an increase of 1.6 percent or 711,693 passengers, over the same ten-month period in 2010 when DIA saw 43,752,400 travelers.
“The months between summer and the holidays are typically a slower time for travel, and we’ve seen some capacity cuts as United manages through its merger with Continental, so a slight decrease in our October figures was expected,” Aviation Manager Kim Day said in a news release.
