Vail’s Sarah Schleper has decided to retire after 15 seasons of World Cup ski racing and will conclude her career with a slalom Thursday in Lienz, Austria.

Schleper, 32 , made her World Cup debut Nov. 11, 1995 , in Vail. She is a four-time Olympian and made five world championships teams. In 186 World Cup starts, she made the podium four times and captured one win, a slalom in Lenzerheide, Switzerland in 2005 .

She missed 2007 season for the birth of her son Lasse , who was born Jan. 30, 2008 .
