A couple struck and injured by a pickup truck while walking on a sidewalk in Anchorage, Alaska, early on New Year’s Day had moved to the city from Colorado last year so the woman could take a job as a special education teacher.
Ashley Marie Brotherton, 24, was critically injured. Her boyfriend, Clayton Tyler Wilbanks, also 24, was in stable condition after he was treated for head and internal injuries.
Brotherton, from Littleton, moved to Alaska to work at Denali Montessori Elementary School.
