Brian Dawkins won’t play in the Broncos’ first playoff game in six years.

Coach John Fox officially ruled Dawkins out on Friday after Dawkins was unable to practice all week. Dawkins has not practiced since before Christmas, and has missed most or all of the team’s last four games with a neck injury.

“It has probably been way more frustrating for him,” Fox said today. “Brian’s been a big part of this season, a big part of this team, and hopefully we can get him well soon.”

The Broncos have also listed fullback Spencer Larsen (knee) as doubtful, though Larsen has not practiced all week after spraining his MCL last week against Kansas City. Safety David Bruton (Achilles) and cornerback Jonathan Wilhite (illness) are listed as questionable.
