DENVER—Coroner’s officials say a man fatally shot by a Brighton police officer was a 36-year-old from Brighton.
The Adams County coroner identified him Monday as Shad Pemberton. The Denver Post reports ( ) he died of a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Officers allege he fled from police following an incident at a convenience store and was shot after refusing to obey orders to drop his handgun Saturday night.
