A former employee of John Elway’s Manhattan Beach Toyota in California filed a lawsuit Monday against the dealership, its general manager and owners — including Elway — alleging they violated his civil rights.
Timothy Sandquist claims the general manager created a hostile work environment and discriminated against him because he is black, Sandquist’s attorney said. The owners took no action against the manager, the attorney said. Efforts to reach Elway’s attorney before deadline were unsuccessful.
