CHARLESTON, W.Va.—Federal officials want to hear from stakeholders on the proposed consolidation of the Office of Surface Mining and the Bureau of Land Management.
The agencies are holding meetings with stakeholders around the country this month on the proposal.
The first meeting is set for Jan. 17 in St. Louis. Other meetings are scheduled Jan. 18 in Washington, Pa., Jan. 19 in Charleston, W.Va., Jan. 20 in Knoxville, Tenn., Jan. 23 in Billings, Mont., Jan. 24 in Denver, Jan. 25 in Flagstaff, Ariz., Jan. 26 in Window Rock, Ariz., and Jan. 30 in Washington, D.C.
