MANCHESTER, N.H. — Rick Santorum is finding the ticket he got out of Iowa might not be so valuable in New Hampshire.

The former Pennsylvania senator surged in the polls last week after falling just eight votes shy of Mitt Romney in the Iowa caucuses, rising to third place with 11 percent of the vote, according to Friday’s poll by Suffolk University.

But Suffolk’s poll Monday found Santorum in fifth place at 10 percent, behind Romney (33), Texas Rep. Ron Paul (20), former Utah Gov. John Huntsman (13) and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (11).
