SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Authorities say a sheriff’s deputy used a stun gun three times on an airline passenger who refused to complete the security screening process.
They say Edwin Barton, 26, told security officials he needed to go back inside Sacramento International Airport’s secure area to get some belongings after arriving on an earlier flight Tuesday afternoon.
Sheriff’s Deputy Jason Ramos says that before officials could screen Barton, he picked up his bag and ran.
Barton was subdued and taken to a hospital.
