Thursday night, Jimmy Fallon outdid himself on his “Late Night” show on NBC.
Using the classic David Bowie song “Space Oddity” as inspiration, Fallon plucked his acoustic guitar while Vaseline-lensed camera effects straight out of the 1970s offered double-exposure looks at the erstwhile Spaceman conjuring Jesus and Tebow in a lyrical conversation.
“Tim Tebow to Jesus Christ,” sings TeBowie, “Can’t win by myself/But with your help I might.”
As the song continues, Fallon takes on the voice of Jesus replying: “This is Jesus Christ to Tim Tebow/Please leave me alone/Don’t you know my day of rest is Sunday?/And I’m sick of watching all these Bronco games.”
