DENVER—Hundreds have signed an online petition over the firing of former NFL player and Denver Broncos commentator Dave Logan as head football coach at Mullen High School.
Logan had a 110-12 record and four state championships during nine years at Mullen before the school fired him last week. KMGH-TV reports ( ) the online petition calls for the firing of the Roman Catholic college preparatory high school’s CEO Ryan Clement and Principal Jim Gmelich.
In a statement to the station, the school says it’s looking forward to continuing the school’s football tradition of excellence.
The school would not comment on why it fired Logan. As of Monday, the station reports 450 people have signed the petition that will be presented to the school’s Board of Trustees.
