FOUNTAIN, Colo.—A man who died after falling through the ice on a pond in Fountain has been identified as 45-year-old William Tuttle.
The Gazette reported Monday ( ) that Tuttle was chasing his dog at the time of the accident on Saturday.
Fountain Fire Chief Darin Anstine says Tuttle was able to get his dog to safety but went under himself. Divers found him about 90 minutes later. He was rushed to a hospital but attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.
