FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Dorian Green scored 20 points to help Colorado State to its eighth straight win, 66-55 over Boise State on Tuesday night.

Kaipo Sabas had 13 points and Greg Smith 10 for Colorado State (13-4, 2-0 Mountain West). Leading scorer Wes Eikmeier matched a season low of five points on 2 of 10 shooting.

The Rams’ last eight-game winning streak was from Nov. 18-Dec. 30, 2006. The second win in the streak was a 67-50 victory over Boise State.

Westly Perryman led Boise State (10-7, 0-2) with 16 points. Ryan Watkins had 12 for the Broncos, who played without second-leading scorer Kenny Buckner.

Team spokesman Joe Nickel said that Buckner was kept home for an academic eligibility review.

Boise State had 15 offensive rebounds, but turned them into only 11 second-chance points.

Colorado State used the long ball, going 7 of 11 from 3-point range to lead 34-23 at the half.

The Broncos made only 2 of 9 shots to start the game and fell behind 14-4 while Colorado State made four 3-pointers. Perryman got Boise State within 16-9 with a 3-pointer and layup.

Sabas hit his team’s sixth 3-pointer of the half against Boise State’s zone to make it 25-11 with 7:37 left.

The Broncos appeared poised to make it a game when Watkins hit a jumper early in second half to get them within 34-28. But Green and Will Bell had dunks off deep rebounds to get Colorado State’s lead to 52-37 with 12:01 left.

Smith hit two free throws to give Colorado State its biggest lead, 54-37, with 10:25 remaining.
