Men with the street names Crack Head and Worm led a gang of 25 associates who stole identities and cars as part of a meth-trafficking enterprise, the Colorado Springs Police Department said this afternoon.

Cody Harders, 20, known as Crack Head, and Lawrence Purtzer, 29, who goes by Worm, face charges of identity theft, check fraud, criminal impersonation and forgery, according to police.

Their gang, so far, is accused of stealing more than $250,000 from at least 230 victims in six states, police said.

Besides the alleged ringleaders, police announced the arrest of three others on related charges: Kevin Brunt, 23, Shawna Patt, 23, and Paige Zorens, 20.

Their hometowns were not released.
