DENVER—The Colorado Avalanche Information Center says there is a widespread danger of avalanches in northern Colorado.
The warning on Tuesday comes a day after search and rescue teams found a snowmobiler dead near Steamboat Springs. The man’s brother was found safe.
Details, including ages and hometowns, and how one survived and another died were not immediately released by authorities.
Avalanche forecasters warn that triggering slides will be easy, and some of them are expected to be bigger than what they have seen so far this winter.
