Boulder developer Stephen Tebo paid $176,000 for the hearse that carried former President John Kennedy’s casket, The Daily Camera reported Monday, citing national reports.

The Miller-Meteor Cadillac hearse, sold by company Barrett-Jackson at an auction in Arizona, carried Kennedy’s body from a Dallas hospital to the airport after his assassination.

Tebo told CNN that the hearse will become part of his roughly 400-vehicle collection, which includes a custom Rolls-Royce limousine once owned by John Lennon and a Jeep that Frank Sinatra drove on his private ranch.

Tebo said he hopes to open a museum with his collection of cars.
