BOULDER, Colo.—The Boulder City Council is considering a transportation maintenance fee or tax.

City officials say they need to fill a funding gap of about $3 million a year just to maintain streets and bridges at their current levels.

According to the Boulder Daily Camera ( ), filling the funding gap would cost each Boulder household an estimated $24 per year, while businesses would pay an average of $327 per year.
