Detectives with the Denver Police have recovered a vehicle and arrested a suspect involved in Monday’s hit-and-run accident at East Colfax Avenue and Ogden Street.
Taylor Jo Mathis, 21, is being held and investigated for leaving a scene of an accident involving serious bodily injury.
Police allege Mathis was driving a white 2007 Kia Rio when she hit and seriously injured two pedestrians Monday just before 10:30 p.m. The vehicle was found Wednesday in west Denver.
Police say that they were successful in locating the suspect and vehicle due to the involvement of citizens in providing key information and tips.
