If you’re a fan, the opportunity to see frontman Todd Park Mohr play a solo set in his living room is somewhat mind-blowing.
And now fans are invited to Mohr’s living room for an intimate concert on Tuesday night – kind of.
Mohr has long been an early adapter to technology, a fearless innovator in music with a what-have-I-got-to-lose attitude. Remember when he started blogging consistently and giving away music long before his cool-kid peers were doing it? What about when he and his band mailed a half-million physical copies of their 2007 eponymous CD to radio listeners across the country?
Now Mohr is hosting living room shows – house concerts – that will be streamed live from his house. His first-ever live concert stream: 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on stageit.com, a website that specializes in live, “interactive experiences.”
Sure, streaming concerts live is nothing new. But Mohr’s Facebook page promises a new and engaging experience, an “interactive show” that will offer fans to possibility to “chat with him live, request songs, etc.” The tickets cost 50 notes, the equivalent to $5, and the sign-in process is simple.
Here’s a hint: Don’t waste your request on “Bittersweet.” Save it for something deeper, and you’re more likely to attrack Mohr’s attention.
