GREELEY — It appears that a controversial member of the Greeley-Evans School District 6 Board of Education has resigned his seat after two years of a four-year term.
In a letter to the Greeley Gazette, an online newspaper started by Brett Reese a couple of years ago, Reese cites several reasons for his decision.
He said the board is unwilling to look at new ideas and said he needs to focus on his family.
Reese has been in the news over the past year for several controversial issues, including airing a controversial editorial about the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. on his radio station, asking to carry a gun to school board meetings, having a restraining order placed against him by the owner of a competing radio station and failing to attend school board meetings, work session and other board duties.
