The No. 23 University of Colorado and the University of Denver women’s golf teams were tied for fifth place at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational after shooting first-round, 13-over-par 301s at the par-72, 6,321-yard Vistoso Golf Club in Tucson. Arizona led the event with a 3-under 285.

Pioneers junior Kelly Drack led DU after finishing 3-under for the day and was in second place with a 69. Arizona’s Manon Gidali led Drack after shooting a 5-under 67.

Senior Emily Talley and sophomore Jenny Coleman led the way for the Buffaloes, with Coleman shooting a 72, good for seventh place. Talley was one stroke back at 1-over par 73, tied for ninth place.

The second round is today, with the competition concluding Tuesday.

Eagles complete ECHL sweep

Kevin Ulanski had a goal and three assists as the Colorado Eagles defeated the Bakersfield Condors 5-3 on Saturday, sweeping the ECHL weekend set in Bakersfield, Calif.
