Fire crews have finished putting out hot spots and cleaning up after a mobile home fire in Lafayette this morning.
Around 6:42 a.m., firefighters were called to 711 Meadowlark Drive on a report of a fire at a mobile home, said Chief Gerry Morrell, spokesman for the Lafayette Fire Department.
No one was home when the fire started.
It took firefighters 15 to 20 minutes to extinguish the blaze and almost 2 hours to finish putting out hot spots, Morrell said.
No injuries have been reported.
Officials believe the mobile home will be a total loss.
No surrounding structures were damaged.
The cause and origin of the fire are under investigation.
