Denver-based Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill said today that Gemini Investors is investing an undisclosed amount in the company.
Gemini is a Massachusetts-based private-equity firm that provides capital to established middle-market businesses.
The partnership with Gemini Investors will position the company for franchise expansion in Colorado and beyond, said Alon Mor, Garbanzo founder, president and chief executive.
Garbanzo is owned and operated in Colorado. Mor, who grew up in the Mediterranean, is a 15-year veteran of owning and running restaurants. St. Louis Bread Co./Panera Bread founder Ken Rosenthal also is a co-founder of the company.
