ALBUQUERQUE — A.J. Hardeman scored five of his nine points to start a 13-2 run that propelled New Mexico to a 48-38 victory over Wyoming on Saturday.
Kendall Williams led New Mexico (20-4, 6-2 Mountain West) with 10 points while teammate Drew Gordon contributed 13 rebounds and Hardeman grabbed eight.
Francisco Cruz scored 14 points for the Cowboys (18-6, 4-4), who had only four players score.
New Mexico’s depth proved to be crucial with a 14-0 scoring advantage from the bench.

LAS VEGAS — Mike Moser scored 19 points and made a key steal late as the Runnin’ Rebels forced three turnovers in the final 42 seconds to win a showdown game.
Moser’s steal and pass set up Anthony Marshall for the Rebels’ go-ahead layup. The Aztecs’ Chase Tapley had made a 3-pointer to put San Diego State up by one point with less than two minutes to play.
San Diego State didn’t score again.
