MONTROSE, Colo.—A Montrose man is facing fraud charges after authorities said the meteorites he sold were fakes.
Authorities say 58-year-old Steve Curry was cited for theft over $500 and fraud.
According to KREX-TV ( ), the meteorites in question were pulled from shelves immediately after authorities alerted Main Street Mineral and Beads’ employees.
