A Denver-based company, Cibus Holding LLC, will place a bid Tuesday to acquire the assets of the Spicy Pickle sandwich shops’ parent company, according to Kevin Hein, an attorney representing the bidder.

If a higher bidder doesn’t come forward during Tuesday’s auction, Cibus Holding and its subsidiary Cibus Franchising LLC will acquire the company-owned store in Greenwood Village along with the franchise agreements with 22 franchised restaurants in nine states, according to the most recent quarterly filing dated Sept. 30.

Meanwhile, the five franchised restaurants in Denver, Fort Collins, Boulder, Aurora and Lone Tree, along with the company-owned Greenwood Village store, remain open and doing business as usual.
