 Officials are investigating what caused a fire in the attic of a Westminster home this morning.

Around 7:30 a.m., fire crews were called to the 9300 block of 104th Drive, where they found smoke billowing from the home’s attic, according to a news release from the Westminster Fire Department.

All five residents and two pets were safely outside by the time crews arrived.

The blaze was under control by 7:42 a.m.

No injuries were reported.

The fire was contained primarily to the garage of the home. A damage estimate was not immediately available.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
