Colorado Rush soccer star Lindsey Horan of Golden was named Tuesday to the U.S. under-20 women’s national team for the CONCACAF U-20 tournament that begins March 1 in Panama City. Horan, the leading scorer for the U.S. under-17 team two years ago, is one of six forwards on the U.S. under-20 team.

AFA golfer shines. Air Force’s Kyle Westmoreland tied for seventh with a 1-over-par 73 in the third and final round (2-under 214 total) of the Rice Intercollegiate at Westwood Golf Club in Houston. Westmoreland, a sophomore from Katy, Texas, has three top-10 finishes this season. The Falcons finished 14th among 15 teams, 38 strokes behind the winner, Northwestern.

• The Colorado State women’s golf team finished last among 11 teams at the UNLV Rebel Spring Invitational in Boulder City, Nev. CSU’s Brianna Espinoza, a senior from Phoenix, tied for 28th with an 18-over 234 total. CSU finished 90 strokes behind the winner, Arizona.

Wyo. coach honored. Wyoming’s Tom Johnson was named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men’s swimming and diving coach of the year after the Cowboys finished third at the MPSF meet.
