An 80-mile stretch of westbound Interstate 70 that was closed for more than two hours, has been re-opened.

At 7:45 a.m., snow and wind forced officials to close westbound I-70 from C-470 to Silverthorne, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

The interstate was re-opened around 10:20 a.m.

Both lanes over Vail Pass reopened just before noon.

Mountain roads and passes closed early this morning as well.

Loveland Pass closed at 12:18 a.m. and Berthoud Pass closed at 1 a.m., according to CDOT.
