One person was taken to the hospital this morning after the vehicle they were driving smashed into a Denver building.
Around 9 a.m., firefighters were called to East 26th Avenue and Downing Street on a report of a car accident, said Phil Champagne, spokesman for the Denver Fire Department.
After arriving, crews found a vehicle that had smashed into the side of a building. It was not immediately known if the building was a home.
Crews brought in equipment to stabilize the building while they extricated the driver from the vehicle.
The driver was taken to a nearby hospital. Their injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
Details about the accident are being investigated. It was unclear if weather contributed to the crash.
