A school bus driver who hit three girls Tuesday afternoon has been issued a citation.
David Shaw, 43, has been charged with three counts of careless driving causing bodily injury, one count for each girl, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
The charges are misdemeanors.
Shaw, a substitute bus driver for Jeffco Schools, hit the girls about 3:10 p.m. at the intersection of South Simms Street and West Brandt Place.
The girls, students at Summit Ridge Middle School, were in the crosswalk, headed east across Simms, and the bus was turning left.
All three were taken to the hospital and one girl, a 14-year-old, was in fair condition Wednesday night. Further details on the injuries were not available.
