• Bellco on Thursday announced a gift of $100,000 to Food Bank of the Rockies for the acquisition of two produce dehydration units on the Western Slope that will enable FBR to dehydrate thousands of pounds of fruit and produce that would otherwise go to waste. The program will make FBR one of only six food banks in the country to have such capabilities.
• FirstBank of Lakewood announced that in 2011, its annual community investment program contributed cash donations totaling more than $4.2 million to more than a thousand nonprofit organizations across the state.
• Serve Colorado announced a $150,000 grant from Target, which will be used to establish the Colorado Reading Corps, an early literacy program.
• Fireside Production, a Denver-based video production company, donated more than $13,600 in professional production services to Colorado’s nonprofit organizations in 2011.
