DENVER—Denver authorities say a man who died in prison in 1996 while serving a sentence for two murders may have been a serial killer responsible for as many as 20 deaths.

Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey said Tuesday Denver detectives, laboratory analysts and prosecutors used DNA evidence to link Vincent Groves to the murder of four women from 1979 to 1988.

According to the Denver Post ( ), some of the women Groves targeted in Denver were prostitutes, while others were just acquaintances.
