BOULDER – —In a unanimous vote Wednesday night, the Boulder City Council denied the application from LA’AU’s Taco Shop, 1335 Broadway, to stay open until 2:30 a.m. seven days a week.
Now, the shop — which is a little more than a year old and already has a liquor license — closes at 10 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and at 11 p.m. Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
The business’ request to stay open later was previously approved by the Boulder Planning Board and by city staffers, who found it to be consistent with the zoning and “an appropriate location for the proposed use,” according to a staff memo on the topic.
