DENVER—The Colorado Board of Education is backing a plan by Denver Public Schools to close a school that helps dropouts.

The board said Wednesday it is difficult to determine if students are making progress and what other alternatives are available.

According to the Denver Post ( ), Life Skills Center High School has about 180 students and will close this summer.
