BOULDER, Colo.—Brittany Hernadez had 18 points and 10 rebounds, and Air Academy won its first Class 4A girls state basketball title in school history by defeating D’Evelyn 72-53 Friday night.
Hernandez’s latest double-double in the tournament led four Kadets in double figures. Kate Louthan had 15 points, and Kellyn Roiko and Kauna Kama each had 11.
Madalyn Neely led D’Evelyn with 20 points. Laura Tyree had 12.
