LONGMONT – — Plans to revive Twin Peaks Mall will come before the City Council no later than this summer, the mall’s new owner said Thursday.
“The mall itself does not earn its operating costs, so I’m really motivated,” Allen Ginsborg of NewMark Merrill Mountain States told the Longmont Area Economic Council during a Thursday breakfast. “But as much as in my zeal I’d like to start pushing things, I’ve got to work with the retailers. … Frankly, the retailers drive this bus.”
NewMark Merill closed on the mall in February, buying it from Bank of America for about $8.5 million. That’s roughly one-fourth of the $33.6 million its previous owner, Panattoni Development Co., paid for it in 2007.
