BOULDER, Colo.—Josh Adams scored 19 points, including the deciding tip-in basket as time ran out in overtime, and Arapahoe defeated Chaparral 69-67 in the boys’ 5A state championship game Saturday night.
Cory Calvert added 17 points and Reece Elliott scored 16 for the Warriors (25-2), who tied the game at 61 on Wil Keyser’s basket near the end of regulation. Adams tipped in Calvert’s shot to win it after Zach Kocur scored with 11 seconds left to make it 67-all.
Shane Jensen led all scorers with 29 points for Chaparral (24-4). Kocur finished with 23 for the Wolverines.
