BRECKENRIDGE, Colo.—A judge is denying a murder suspect’s request to leave the state as prosecutors consider asking that the man accused in the death of his wife be held on bail greater than the current $50,000.
The Summit Daily News reports ( ) that a judge Thursday denied Dale Bruner’s request to travel to California to visit his elementary-age children. He faces a second-degree murder charge in the November 2010 death of Stephanie Roller Bruner. Searchers found Bruner’s body in the Blue River.
Dale Bruner is free on bail. He posted $50,000 shortly after his indictment and arrest in August.
He faces charges of second-degree murder, first-degree assault and tampering with evidence.
Deputy District Attorney Kristine Word says they’re considering asking a judge to increase Bruner’s bail.
