The Colorado Mammoth topped Washington 13-11 on Saturday night at the Pepsi Center despite being without star forward John Grant Jr. (upper-body injury).
Adam Jones had three goals and four assists for the Mammoth (8-1).
Colorado completes the home-and-home series against the Stealth (2-7) today in Everett, Wash.
Pioneers defeat Penn State. The No. 11 University of Denver men’s lacrosse team defeated No. 10 Penn State 14-6 in State College, Pa. Led by a five-point outing from senior Mark Matthews, the Pioneers improved to 4-1, while the Nittany Lions fell to 3-2.
• Air Force (3-2) won 9-8 in overtime over Army (3-4) in Houston. The Falcons’ Erik Smith scored the game-winner seven seconds into the extra period.
CU third in NCAA skiing. The University of Colorado ski team finished third with 670 points in the NCAA Championships in Bozeman, Mont. Vermont won with 832 points, and Denver finished sixth with 505½.
DU’s Espen Lysdahl won the men’s slalom with a time of 1 minute, 48.28 seconds.
