North Metro firefighters put out a fire at an apartment complex and later at a residential home late last night and early this morning.
North Metro Fire Rescue rushed to Heights on Huron apartments at 10648 Huron St. in Northglenn at 11:27 last night, said Stacey Mulligan, fire department spokeswoman.
Four engines, one tower truck, three medic units and 23 firefighters responded. The fire was extinguished in 10 minutes, Mulligan said.
Two apartments were damaged, mostly on the exterior, she said. One family was displaced from one apartment and a second apartment damaged by fire was vacant. No one was injured.
Investigators are trying to determine what caused the fire.
The second fire broke out in an unoccupied residential home on the 10600 block of Ura Lane in Northglenn at 3:18 a.m., Mulligan said.
The blaze gutted a garage and severely damaged the two-story home. It, too, was extinguished within about 10 minutes, she said.
