POCATELLO, Idaho — Northern Colorado rallied in the second half Saturday, coming within one point of Idaho State with 13 seconds left, but Idaho State held on for a 49-46 victory in the Big Sky Tournament title game.
Chelsea Pickering and Ashleigh Vella led the Bengals (24-7) with 12 points each. The Bears (20-11) were led by Victoria Timm, who scored 18 points.
Metro State 60, Fort Lewis 42
WAYNE, neb. — Jasmine Cervantes scored a game-high 18 points and added eight rebounds and four assists, leading 10th-ranked Metro State to a victory over No. 12 Fort Lewis and a berth in the NCAA’s Division II Central Regional championship game for the second year in a row.
Metro State had a 10-2 run in the first half. The Road- runners led 16-9 eight minutes into the game and carried a 31-23 lead into halftime.
Katerina Garcia led Fort Lewis with 12 points.
Metro State plays Monday night against top-seeded Wayne State, which eliminated Augustana (S.D.) 63-40.
